In these days of high speed space warfare, if an organisation is trying to capture someone it is infinitely simpler to locate their clone and stake it out until their natural actions or hired guns make the consciousness animate the body. Physically capturing a pilot is unfeasible and expensive. It is this very reason which has surrounded the operation to capture a rogue Amarr Imperial agent with mystery. Two days ago (Sunday), an Amarr Patrol frigate was seen scouting r3-k7k for pilot installations. [...]
YULAI – The maverick DED commander who took his fleet into unregulated space turned himself in today at an undisclosed location without incident. The commander’s name is Tantoseisen Kakkichi, the head of Internal Security at the DED. Sources close to CONCORD believe all ships reported missing were accounted for, and that all of the officers-- including Kakkichi--were arrested on arrival. Some of the returning ships were reported as displaying extensive battle damage. Within 30 minutes of the arrests, [...]
After announcing their intentions the previous fortnight, prominent scientists Dr. Palask and Dr. Stubbs embarked on the first of many expeditions into a Rogue Drone hive last Sunday. Accompanied by several capsule pilots, the researchers from the Independent Studies Corporation entered the complex and began making scans of the Rogue Drone technology. After their would be bodyguards fended off several counter attacks from the Rogue Drone infestation, the researchers began moving towards the core of [...]
A report filtered out from reliable sources within the Inner Circle of CONCORD has revealed that a huge infestation of rogue drones was found well within empire space. There is a strong indication that the recently discovered swarm constitutes a new breed of the drones. The leaked report further states that this discovery was made some weeks ago, but has been carefully kept under wrap by CONCORD since. The reason given is that the exact nature of this new breed is as of yet not fully understood and [...]
The Alliance Tournament is once again coming to New Eden. With a field of forty alliances baying for blood and looking to make a name for themselves we are assured of an exciting spectacle. This year the tournament has again had rules and groupings amended, one of the key features is the reduction in the number of competitors to forty. This caused a rush to register through the official GalNet channels and consequently the tournament group slots were filled within forty eight hours. This unprecedented [...]
Day 2, Round 1 Qualifying for the 6th Alliance Tournament is complete. Statistics are being compiled, and all battle reports for the past two days can be found on GalNet. A wide variety of ship choices and tactics were used to varying degrees of success. Drones were utilized extensively, but not to the level that was anticipated by pre-tournament discussions. While similar setups were used by several competitors, results varied making it impossible to determine if the setup was the long sought after [...]
Amarr - The five Royal Heirs of the Amarr Empire have been recalled to Amarr Prime for an emergency meeting of the Privy Council. The order comes after days of meetings between Empress Jamyl I and King Khanid II that have fueled rampant speculation throughout the cluster. All five Heirs have already arrived at Dam-Torsad to attend the meeting. Catiz Tash-Murkon was the first to arrive, followed shortly after by Merimeth Sarum, then Aritcio Kor-Azor and Uriam Kador, with Yonis Ardishapur arriving [...]
Royal Khanid Navy Grand Admiral Zidares Khanid this morning released a statement claiming that Khanid Kingdom forces yesterday attacked thirty-three separate Blood Raider Covenant targets - ranging from unmanned installations to fully-defended outposts - in what the release terms "an effort to strike a blow against the spreading blight of willful heresy." The Admiral's statement went on to detail the statistics of yesterday's conflicts, some of which are reportedly still raging. Among the largest were [...]
Unidentified sources within the Gallente Federation have indicated that negotiations for a major research pact between the Federation and the Caldari State are underway. Nothing has been confirmed, but it is understood that delegates from both sides have been meeting in a secret location, surrounded by heavy police presence to keep curious travelers at bay. If true, this will be a momentous event in our collective history and perhaps the clearest indicator yet of how much the Gallente-Caldari [...]
Heideran VII hasn’t been dead a week, and already rumors are circulating regarding a schism among the Five Heirs. The Succession Rites, which dictate the family heads not chosen as emperor commit ritual suicide, are believed to be the root cause of this possible split. “Military and transport craft are being amassed in ruling families’ home systems,” said Elgad Bettild, a political analyst for Republic Fleet. “It could be a protection of assets during a time of crisis; it could be preparation for war. [...]
A mysterious explorer has sparked an influx of prospectors into Pegasus as they seek their fortune from a reportedly untouched gas cloud. Residents of the area had been bemused by the sudden surge in the local population until rumours of the gas formation began to leak out. With most other such spacial anomalies already harvested, the opportunity to enter or maintain a position in the lucrative booster market has been the main thrust behind the prospecting. Of course such a high concentration of [...]
Well known traders have responded sceptical regarding the rumours of a possible large scale buy up of goods in the Caldari territories by the Galactic Trading and Logistics Corporation. The rumours, which centre on the notoriously busy trade systems of Jita and Nonni have sparked considerable interest and conjecture from local vendors as to the source of the rumours as well as the contents and purpose of such an unusually large buy up. A trader responded that it is impossible to predict sales on [...]
A group of Caldari corporations with interests in the Ruomo constellation yesterday announced their approval of the Caldari State's decision to construct new stargate links in the Maurasi system. The consortium, led by shipping company Prompt Delivery, was concerned with the adverse business effects of growing traffic levels in the Jita system. Prompt Delivery was joined in their efforts by several other corporations with operations in the constellation, including Expert Housing, the Science and Trade [...]
Autaris - The cruiser tournament run by the events staff at The School of Applied Knowledge has crowned its victor. A staggering 172 teams entered the competition. The numbers were whittled down after many rounds of intense team battles that were conducted at the purpose built arenas in Autaris. Those teams that made it as far as the final four were guaranteed to walk away with at least 250 million ISK. Worthy of note is the corporation Duty. who managed to get two teams into the final four. The [...]
Todaki - Following today's sensational announcement by CreoDron, the School of Applied Knowledge urged the Gallente corporation not to regard the potential findings as their property, but rather to share with all scientific organizations in New Eden. Speaking for the School, Professor Aineta Bikko, head of the astrophysics department, said, "It would be wrong, both from a moral and practical standpoint, to think that the vast wealth of knowledge hidden behind these phenomena can belong to any single [...]
Todaki - According to School of Applied Knowledge representatives, the recent Federation Navy announcement indicates that the CreoDron expedition may have met a grim fate. However, the scientists claim that the exploratory initiatives should continue under strict international regulation. "The constellation lockdown measures undertaken by the Federation Navy can only imply that somewhere, somehow, the expedition went horribly wrong," said Professor Aineta Bikko, head of the School's astrophysics [...]
SCC spokesmen today released a statement explaining that the moratorium placed on the upcoming Jovian body part trade has been extended until Wednesday of next week. According to the statement, issued on behalf of Commission CFO Rayla Netho, the setting of the new date is due to the “logistical problems inherent in an undertaking of this size. There is no precedent for this kind of market venture, and extreme caution needs to be exercised in order to protect economic stability.” The statement also [...]
The SCC Advisory Council yesterday approved a variety of new sales commodities for general release on SCC-regulated interstellar markets. Notable among them are such items as long-anticipated learning skill packs from the Society of Conscious Thought, material which will give advanced students the possibility of, as a SOCT press release puts it, "taking their potential to the stars and beyond." The University of Caille and the Republic University yesterday also released the fruits of what has been [...]
Yulai - After months of painstaking investigation, agents of the Secure Commerce Commission have discovered still more startling evidence of Angel financial backing of Caldari companies. Thousands of man-hours have already gone into the case, with mountains of financial records and tax statements being parsed, compared, and fact-checked in excruciating detail. Yet investigators feel that the efforts have paid off, and no fewer than twenty Caldari corporations (most heavily involved in manufacturing or [...]
Yulai - Further investigation has revealed more direct links between Caldari research company Itsukame Innovations and the Angel Cartel organized crime syndicate, including damning testimony by Kukiyo Renzomon. Renzomon, an executive assistant arrested during last week's raids by CONCORD investigators agreed to testify against Itsukame executives and board members in exchange for leniency. Information (including saved electronic correspondence) provided by Renzomon revealed that Itsukame CEO Nuu [...]
An SCC ruling on disputed patent claims for hull modification technology opens the door for the licensing and manufacture of devices based on the controversial research. Boundless Creations, one of the companies involved in the settlement, wasted no time today in releasing a schematic for the production of a device utilizing the research breakthroughs. Due to SCC regulations regarding arbitration of patent claims disputes, the identities of the other corporations or individuals involved in the [...]
Over the last few days, the Caldari State and the Amarr Empire have come under fire from various interest groups, who have been exerting tremendous pressure on agencies within these nations to retract their threats of economic sanctions against the ORE Syndicate. As has become widely known, the Caldari State three days ago released a statement proclaiming their intention to institute sanctions against the mining giant for its moves towards making deep-space starbase components and moon mining [...]
According to spokesmen from the Secure Commerce Commission, an emergency moratorium has been placed on the four empires’ upcoming initiative to buy back Misu Baniya’s body parts on the market. The moratorium, SCC officials say, is due to the “massive effect these transactions will have on the galactic economy. We are talking about a multi-billion ISK influx here, and these prices will need to be regulated and monitored carefully if we are not to fall head-first into an inflation the likes of which [...]
The Secure Commerce Commission has taken drastic measures against illegal copying of blueprints. Since the copy laws where changed recently, SCC has tracked down numerous cases where people are still using the old regulations for blueprint copying. SCC will start installing restrictions in appliance with the new laws on blueprints used in illegal copying. This will eject them from their lab slots, but will not otherwise affect them, apart from the new restrictions already mentioned.
