The ERE took a serious blow today, suffering the loss of a portion of their latest aid shipment at the hands of Johnny W, a Gallente pod-pilot. The humanitarian organisation have been lending a hand to the poor, underprivileged and less fortunate of the galaxy for some time now and this is the first time they've been taken advantage of in such a way. The theft took place yesterday evening, during the ERE's latest convoy run. Eleven pod pilots were recruited from the local channel in Algogille, with a [...]
Aldrat, Metropolis - Eve University [E-UNI] has put into place a new recruitment system which they hope will allow them to process applications in a much more timely fashion. E-UNI has received more applications per week than they ever have in recent months, with waiting times for applicants rising from "3-5 days to 4 weeks and over" for the month of December alone. Darian Reymont, Director of Personnel for E-UNI, admitted that the "old system simply wasn't designed to cope with current demand", and [...]

The corporation is moving its headquarters to Aldrat in a bid to find a more suitable learning [...]
Aldrat, Metropolis - Eve University released a new guide earlier this week, aimed at those capsuleers interested in expanding into industry through planetary extraction, processing and production. The guide is accompanied by a "quick start" holoreel. The guide, available from the Ivy League knowledgebase, outlines useful skills for pilots interested in planetary production to study, then goes into detail on planet categorization and provides walkthroughs on how to scan for resources, set up colony [...]
X-R3NM - Curatores Veritatis Alliance has released a press statement announcing the alliance's intention to withdraw its support from the 24th Imperial Crusade as a result of repeated acts of piracy carried out by several pilots in the militia. Despite diplomatic efforts including no-fly zones and compensations for neutral pilots killed by rogue militants, the ongoing pirate activity has forced CVA to follow through on its decision to cease assistance to the Imperial Crusade as a whole. CVA may still [...]

Exercise 'Brotherhood', the largest joint military exercise between the Federation Navy and the Republic Fleet has begun in Metropolis. After much discussion between representatives of the Republic Parliament and the Federation Senate about whether to delay the exercise in the aftermath of the Malkalen incident, manoeuvres started only three days later than originally planned. In a joint statement, both parties played down the rumours that the Federation Navy stayed on home turf to defend against [...]
Further repercussions from an increasingly large Matari exodus to the Gallente Federation surfaced this week as a number of Matari industrial complexes, situated near the Republic-Federation border, ground to a halt due to severe labour shortages. With all eyes on the Gallente Federation as it continues to grapple with the sudden influx of Matari immigrants, little heed has been paid to the increasing problems caused within the Minmatar Republic by the wholesale loss of citizens. In both the Eugidi [...]
In addition to the millions of goods sold daily in New Eden, somewhat exotic services can also be purchased. One such service for sale is the “Jump Clone Service". Pod pilots use jump clones to facilitate seamless travel between any two stations in New Eden. This is accomplished by activating a remote clone, at the same time as the existing clone is deactivated. This means that as long as there is a dormant clone at the destination, travel between such places as Jita and Rens can be handled in [...]
Following in the footsteps of others such as CreoDron, numerous organizations across New Eden have begun to prepare themselves for expeditions of their own. From small, private endeavors to larger entities such as the Imperial Navy, people are mobilizing exploratory squads en masse, all in the hope of finding some answers to today's extraordinary events. Various rumors of hostile encounters on the other side have been filtering down from the capsuleer class already, almost as often as whispers of rare [...]
Speaking from his home in Caille, Julien Sirrok, the famed deep space explorer and expert on astronomical anomalies, warned the CreoDron wormhole exploration team on the over-reliance of scout drones. "I would suggest that Professor Burreau be extremely cautious in her assessment of scout drone telemetry," said Sirrok. "The data can be misleading even in relatively well-understood local space. If she is right and the explored system is in another galaxy, then it is quite possible that conditions local [...]
Nakugard – A major arms manufacturing complex located in the Nakugard system was today rocked by massive explosions which entirely destroyed one factory and damaged another, killing many workers. The destroyed factory produced depleted uranium shells for battleship class cannons and significant damage was also inflicted on a light autocannon facility in the same complex. Initial reports are that approximately 100 workers have been killed, though there are fears the death toll may rise. Investigators [...]
Early morning operations at Hyasyoda's Urlen refinery station came to a brief halt this morning as the facility was shaken by several internal explosions. The cause of the explosions is unknown at this time. Despite panicked initial reports to the contrary, both the Caldari Navy and the State Protectorate both report that the incident was not caused by enemy actions, and that the station's superstructure and systems security remains unbreached. Company officials have refused to answer questions or [...]
Arvasaras - A series of detonations reverberated throughout the Sukuuvestaa Corporation Production Plant in the Arvasaras system , resulting in several parts of the station being without power and life support services for hours. The explosions were centered on a Peace and Order Unit precinct in the station, as well as several key facilities such as power management relays. News crews from the Nugoeihuvi Corporation have reported injured people being saved from the affected areas, but there have been [...]
A recent examination of the life of low-level Caldari employees has incited outrage throughout the Gallente Federation. The expose, conducted by The Scope, alleged widespread human rights violations, worker lives declared "slave-like", and dangerously unhealthy conditions. The expose focused primarily on Motsu Fabric, a subsidiary of Amalgamated Textiles (itself a subsidiary of SuVee). Combining testimony of Caldari ex-patriots living in the Federation along with an undercover investigation of one of [...]
Yulai - Reports are filtering in to various news networks from startled eyewitnesses on-scene, who are now seemingly trapped inside the system of Yulai. "This is [censored] crazy," said Raimi Eschin, a Gallentean trader in a live transmission moments ago. "I just tried to leave the system and…nothing. Tried another gate and…they’re all [censored] offline. I headed back to dock, thinking it was a simple malfunction and…Minmatar ships, everywhere. I’ve never seen a fleet like that. I’ve no idea where to [...]
Ezzara, Devoid - The Tribal Liberation Force captured the Ezzara system from Amarr hands at 22:22 on the 22.01.112. The final siege of the 24th Imperial Crusade's bunker in system met with little resistance. In the last month, both Amarr and Minmatar militias have been fighting fiercely across the Devoid region, but when Minmatar forces recently staged an attack on the Ezzara system they allegedly met very little resistance. Ezzara is adjoined to the Arzad system, home to Starkman Prime, the former [...]
It is quiet now, this infamous gauntlet of systems which has mean the demise of literally hundreds of pilots. The pirates that usually infest the twin systems are asleep, or wreaking havoc in other lawless areas. But don't let that fool you. Nowhere in known space has the death count been as consistantly high, day after day. Even a cursory glance at the map built-in to every ship confirms this. Yet day after day, new pilots arrive, sometimes by mistake...sometimes not. "We know there's pirates there, [...]
Ratillose -Remnants of the forces loyal to Amarr Heir Uriam Kador responsible for launching an unprovoked invasion of the Gallente Federation have been spotted retreating into Aridia. Federation Grand Admiral Anteson Ranchel has issued a statement condemning the attack, vowing that Kador's forces "will not be allowed safe passage back". It is unknown at this time if Federation warships will pursue the invaders into Amarr space.
Acting on several tips, a squad of FIO agents this morning scoured the Crux constellation in search of UDI operative Henry Foudreal. Combing at least four systems over the course of two hours, the agents found themselves unable to locate the terrorist. "We received a number of reports that he was docked somewhere in the Duripant system," said Agent Joel Brouille, one of the presiding field operatives. "They all came from different enough directions that we saw reason to take them seriously." After [...]
Today the Gallente Federation Civil Liberties Union (GFCLU) made a formal statement and petition to the Federation for greater transparency of Federal Intelligence Office (FIO) operations and greater government oversight of the shadowy organization. An excerpt from the statement reads as follows: "While we applaud and support the efforts of the FIO to combat terrorism, we must not let ourselves turn into that which we fight. The FIO's interception of private communications allowed them to thwart this [...]
Leremblompes, Everyshore - An official spokesman for the Federal Intelligence Office yesterday announced that the investigation of last month's Federal Freight break-in has become a national security matter, from now on placed under the exclusive purview of the FIO itself. Local authorities previously responsible for investigating the crime have been sidelined, with agents of the Special Department of Internal Investigations (the so-called "Black Eagles") commandeering all the evidence, files, and [...]
Industrial tycoons running manufacture space stations are ecstatic over the high demand for the factory service they provide. Being true capitalists the tycoons have decided to raise the rental cost for their factory slots. It is expected that price for renting factory slots may rise as much as 800% in some areas, less in others. Manufacturers have already started to complain about the pending rent increase, while the tycoons where last seen laughing all the way to the bank. The rent increase will [...]
