Tribal tattoos

Tribal tattoos hold numerous meanings and can be used as a form of writing. The tattoos, especially ones with violent messages, have gained great popularity among younger Minmatar in recent times.

A Minmatar cannot have a tattoo of their own accord and must first seek permission to have a specific tattoo inked upon them, as well as determining what kind of tattoo this will be. They can, however, have some influence in the styling and shape of the tattoo in some instances where there is flexibility. Tattooing oneself is a crime in Minmatar society and subject to severe judicial punishment.

The removal of a tattoo under a form of judicial order or punishment may warrant the removal to be done using the old method of skin removal, which leaves a distinct scar behind.
