The history of the Gallente Federation officially starts on June 6th 23121AD, the date of the titular union's founding. However, many agree its historical roots roughly start over six hundred years earlier following Gallente-Caldarifirst contact in 22463AD, during the Information Age on Gallente Prime. This is known as the Nascent or Pre-Federate era, which documents how the two races expanded into the Space Age and went onto encounter many other civilizations, most notably the Intaki and Mannar. Eventually, these civilizations would coalesce into the Federation itself, starting the Luminate or Early Federate era, a tumultuous time made instable by an initially inexperienced multi-planetary union and the outbreak of the Gallente-Caldari War in 23155AD. The Modern Federate era would follow, documenting the bulk of Federation history so far, from the encounter with the Jin Mei and Amarr, to the end of the war and founding of CONCORD. With the dawn of the capsuleer era in YC105, the Post-Human or New Federate era would begin, which runs up right to the present day.
